The Sermon Publisher and Site Manager
The Sermons Online system has three parts,
each of which serves the needs of a different group
of people:
Sermon Publisher: The
Publisher is for Authors. It creates
and uploads sermons. Use it whenever you have a new
sermon you want to put on your church web site. The
Publisher is installed on a personal computer.
Sermon Site Manager: The
Site Manager is for Editors. Your sermons
are published to an online archive. The Site Manager
is a web page that you use to manage your archive.
Your Church Sermon Page: Your
Sermon Page is for Web Visitors. On
your church web site, you'll set up a Sermon Page
that connects to your sermon archive. This is where
people who visit your church on the web will go to
find your sermons.
Full Support for Sermon Audio/Video
Your sermon can be published with
up to four streaming audio or video files, in any combination
of Windows Media, MP3, or Real formats -- enough to provide
maximum compatibility and audience coverage. The Publisher
also comes bundled with open source applications for audio
and video processing tasks such as extracting audio from
CDs or recording WAV files.
Comprehensive Indexing
To help your visitors find sermons
of interest to them, the Publisher indexes your sermons
by Date, Title, Author, Series/Topic, and Scripture reference.
Scripture references are automatically linked to the Bible
Gateway, the largest online source of Bible translations.
File Attachment and Rich-Text Notes
The Publisher provides a full WYSIWYG
rich-text editor with HTML support for adding notes or
outlines to your sermon. You can copy and paste your notes
directly from Word, or type them in yourself. You can
also attach a document file to your sermon - an ideal
way to make your church bulletin available online.
Simple and Easy to Use
The Publisher uses a familiar Windows-style
interface to walk you through the publishing process.
It collects the sermon information for each sermon you
want to publish, then works in the background to put them
online. No technical knowledge is required.
Free Software
There is no charge for using the Publisher or Site Manager when you
use our hosting services. In addition, The Publisher is available under
a General Public License (GPL), which allows individuals
and organizations to modify it for other services for free. See our License
Page for details.
